LEONEFELICE

TAOP Staff /

Just an hour from the center of Milan, is a beautiful 5-star resort amidst the Franciacorta hills – home to restaurant LeoneFelice. At the restaurant’s helm is young chef Fabio Abbattista, from Puglia, in South Italy, who offers a mixture of cuisine from North and South Italy.

LeoneFelice sits inside of L’Albereta resort, one of the most romantic getaways but an hour from Milan. Young executive chef Fabio Abbattista offers a menu inspired by the North and South of Italy, utilizing ingredients directly from the surrounding Franciacorta hills.

Just three years ago, chef Fabio entered the grounds and took over the resort’s restaurant and bistro VistaLago, the bar, and the special menu for healing patrons at the spa’s Greeneige Lounge. Changing the menu 4 times a year with the seasons, Fabio’s food is completely Italian and local, and his goal is to create a good and memorable emotion for each guest.

Fun fact: Chef Gualtiero Marchesi, known as the father of modern cuisine, was the first chef to roam the halls of L’Albereta. Many Italian chefs today attended his school, such as Carlo Cracco of restaurant Cracco and Andrea Berton of Ristorante Berton.
