Ode to an Onion

Such a beautiful, delicate, and tasty presentation of onion.

Chef Eero Vottonen has outdone himself. As the Finland Bocuse d’Or candidate of 2016, this little onion was served as part of their meat presentation at the Bocuse d’Or Europe this past May.

The Bocuse d’Or is a biennial worldwide chef championship founded by French chef Paul Bocuse in 1987, and is often referred to as the culinary Olympics. One of the most prestigious cooking competitions in the world, it is an incredible honor to be part of and to represent one’s country.
